The HMG Newsletters are
now on Mills Archive Website, which is a great step
forward. I pat myself on my back for preparing the
individual PDFs, and Paul Collins of MAT for writing
software that allowed all the 500 or so files to be
automatically added to the Mills Archive website,
and for doing the upload. Final pats on the back to
Ron Cookson and Liz Bartram for supporting HMG in
keeping the newsletters available online and
searchable. All backs are now properly patted!
There are a few
adjustments and corrections to be made but basically
from 2003 every newsletter is there in digital form.
Crucially, the titles of each page can now be
searched. MAT also has physical copies of
newsletters from 1986 to 2013.
On the website
search box, if you type in Hampshire Mills Group you
will get the Search Results page. Under
Publications (Library) are listed all the
newsletters, from which you can select the one you
want.
Alternatively, from
the Search Results page (or from the top page) you
can do a search for some specific topic like
Longbridge; you will find all the HMG newsletter
articles with Longbridge in the title, as well as
any other articles that MAT has about Longbridge.
